Pumpkin Patch/Giants/Freebies

Time for Five for Friday!
There has been SO much excitement around here lately. If you have enough stamina to make it to the end of this post, you will find some freebies!
{1}Pumpkin Patch
We have the cutest pumpkin patch in the world, and the sweetest people own and run it.
This week we had our field trip. We arrived early in the morning and had the place to ourselves.  The weather was awesome and look at the cute chalkboard they made to welcome us!
It's hard not to take pictures!
After a hay ride, we had a lesson in the cornfield classroom.
They have this cool corn box that just screams, "JUMP IN HERE!"...
...and hay mazes and tunnels.
After oodles of fun, we chose our pumpkins and headed back to school.

{2} World Series
Some were showing their bay area spirit at the pumpkin patch this week...
and others are showing it on their front porch.

"Easy Prep" Pumpkin Man FREEBIE

Need something easy to prep for Halloween???

I love doing this every October for 5 reasons;
~ The prep is so easy
~ I can do it as a whole class activity
~ The students are really engaged
 ~ It incorporates multiple skills
~ They are all so cute hanging from the ceiling or a doorway

So, let's get this party started!
Each student will need:
4 strips of 1" X 18" green construction paper
4 pieces of 6" X 9" green construction paper (just regular construction paper, cut in half)
1 orange pumpkin printed from this pdf (simply click on the printer icon on the black menu bar)

The students will trace their own hands and feet, accordion fold the limbs, cut and glue everything together, add a jack-o-lantern face and walla ~ SO fun!
