Happy Easter!
Who says we can't do eggs (jelly beans) and baskets after Easter. I have done these decomposing activities with little cups or mini baskets but I love this cool zip lock bag method because students get some extra practice with fine motor skills AND the "eggs" don't get lost. Students push the eggs around in the sealed bag, putting some in the basket and pushing some out. The goal is to find all the combinations of 10 or whatever number you are working on. Recording sheets are provided for sums of 5 through 20.
I drew the baskets on ahead of time. Older students could do this part if you trust them with permanent markers:)
