Thirteen favorites from 2013

Say what you want...warm, cozy, unflattering, so 2003, ugh?  My feet just can't get enough of them.
Come to mama.

  In the big screen category, The Butler was definitely my favorite.  In the YouTube category, this video of my friend's sweet daughter, who is fighting a courageous battle against brain cancer, wins the Oscar.

If you would like to follow this precious family's story go HERE.

So fun to eat here because everything is not only delicious but wholesome, healthy, sustainable, local and fresh, and the desserts are to die for.
If you are ever in the San Francisco area, they have several SF locations, including a small one at the airport.

Pole Fitness!
Nope, it's not me...maybe in 2014;)

A mani/pedi from and, most importantly, with one of  my besties.

I can't wait to try this and it has a tutorial!

Five for Friday {'Tis the Season}

 {1} 'Twas the Night Before Christmas
All of our kindergarten classes performed and sang. The stage was decorated, the house was full, the clock struck seven...SHOWTIME!
 The stars were dressed in their finest for their 15 minutes of fame.
So many kinders, having so much fun singing carols!

{2} Gifts from my students to their families
 My kinders worked so hard on these calendars, wrapping paper and Rudolph cards as gifts to their families.
All of my kinders did their own wrapping.  I helped with the bows. Some showed lots of experience with wrapping, others not so much, but all were cute!

{3} Gifts from me to my students
 Candy cane Rudolphs were attached to the word search wrapped books.

{4} Class Party
My room moms worked so hard on our Polar Express theme party.
I would love to give credit for the designer of these tickets, but sadly I don't know the source.  The rest of the ticket "booth" was designed with some stationary that I had on hand.

{5} Staff Holiday PAR-TAY!!!
This Amaretto cheesecake was a hit. You can find the recipe HERE.

Oh my...someone brought this White Elephant gift.
 Should what happens at teacher parties stay at teacher parties?

Five for Friday {Elf on the Shelf}

{1} This week our Elf on the Shelf arrived in a special delivery, frozen, brown paper package, straight from the North Pole.  It wasn't difficult to keep the package frozen because this was one of the coldest weeks in decades in California.

 {2} We read the book, then the kinders voted on a name for our elf.
  "SPARKLE" it was!

{3} We completed these two fun freebies from two generous teachers. The graph is from Mrs. K's Class and can be found HERE. The second page is from Cara Carroll and can be found HERE.

{4}  The next day...
Hmmm...maybe table 5 needed a little extra watching over.

{5}  After that Sparkle decided to hide in the paper chains, knees locked onto a candy cane.  One of my cuties said "She's doing her exercises".

Have a wonderful last week of school in 2013!
